Pathways to Clean Energy

Want a career with purpose, hands-on industry experience, and a pathway into one of Australia’s fastest-growing sectors? Pathways to Clean Energy can help you build the skills, confidence and connections to launch your future in the clean energy industry.

Whether you’re a young person interested in climate action, or someone who supports young people to explore their pathways, we’d love you to register your interest.

What we can tell you:

Pathways to Clean Energy will help young people to:

  • Explore careers linked to: solar energy, wind energy, electric vehicles & automotive technologies, electric power & energy systems, hydropower, green apprenticeship pathways and climate action & nature-positive careers.

  • Build practical, hands-on skills that employers value

  • Connect with real workplaces, industry professionals, registered training organisations and employers

  • Understand the pathways into apprenticeships, training and entry-level roles

  • Gain confidence to take their next step into work or study

The program will combine industry exposure, supported learning and real-world experience, designed around what young people actually need to move forward.

Who can register?

If you care about climate change, sustainability, the environment, or just want to explore future-focused work that actually makes a difference, this is for you!

You don’t need experience. Just curiosity and a willingness to explore what’s possible.

Participants must be aged 15-24.

If you’re a youth worker, educator, employment practitioner, community organisation or local service who supports young people to explore pathways into work, study or training, please refer your clients on to this program!

Why this matters?

Clean energy is one of the fastest-growing job sectors in Australia. But too many young people don’t understand how they can fit into it.

This initiative is all about changing that. We’ll make sure young people in Melbourne’s west are not just part of the climate conversation, but part of the climate workforce!
