Kickstart Your Career with CareStart!

Want a job where you can make a difference, explore real career pathways, and gain hands-on experience. CareStart is your launchpad into health and community care!

What is CareStart?

A FREE 4-week pre-employment program (3 days per week) designed for young people to explore careers in healthcare and community services. Funded by the Macquarie Group Foundation, it's your chance to try out roles, meet industry pros, and see what a career helping others could look like. 

What you'll do

  • Hear from guest speakers and industry professionals
  • Take part in industry visits and excursions
  • Experience immersive VR simulations of healthcare roles
  • Build practical skills and boost your confidence
  • Complete two accredited units to help with further education and employment
  • Enjoy a free lunch every day!

Who's it for?

  • Young people (aged from 15-25 years old) curious about health or community care careers
  • Those who want to help others but aren't sure where to start
  • Anyone keen to explore Australia's largest and fastest-growing sector
