About Youth Projects

Youth Projects is an Australian-based independent, registered charity who recognise the complex and varying needs of our clients and offer a holistic model of care and provide pathways into our award winning employment, education and social enterprise programs. Located at two sites (Hosier Lane and the vibrant Northern region of Melbourne) and a  number of outreach sites, Youth Projects provides front line support to individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues and young people looking to re-engage with learning and employment.

About the Role

As Performance and Partnership Leader, you will inspire and lead your team to be the provider of choice in the delivery of the Disability Employment Services in the Calder & Plenty regions of Melbourne and Community Traineeships Pilot Program in the City of Hume.  You will empower your team to BE THE CHANGE and reduce Youth Unemployment in Melbourne’s North.

You will drive performance to ensure achievement of significant outcomes and the provision of high quality service delivery to young people and employers.

You will be committed to building and maintaining relationships and strategic partnerships with employers and community partners that create sustainable employment opportunities and outcomes for program participants.  You will drive customer acquisition activities that engage job seekers, realising a continuous pipeline of program participants.

We are looking for someone with DRIVE & PASSION.  This is a hand on leadership role with a small but growing team on the ground. We seek a future Business Leader that can get in, roll their sleeves up and lead from the front whilst also thinking strategically as we build our employment portfolio.

This position is a maternity leave replacement for 1 year, however continued employment with Youth Projects is likely dependent on the outcome of future tender applications.

The role will require extensive travel across the North West towns of Melbourne with home base being Glenroy.
